SSM Public School offers CBSE syllabus. The school is recognized by the Government of Karnataka and is affiliated to CBSE Board, New Delhi.
In the nursery section there is no formal examination. The progress and performance of every student is assessed continuously based on daily learning activities both in scholastic and non-scholastic areas through various methods. To know the ability of the child’s skills in writing, reading, problem solving, matching, counting and understanding of concepts – work sheets are done and assessed
The evaluation scheme for classes I to IX would be spread over term assessments comprising of unit assessments, mid-term assessments and annual assessments with application based assignments, written and oral tests, quizzes, individual or group presentations, projects etc..
Promotion to the next higher class is granted on the basis of the Cumulative performance of the semester examinations, wherein a student has to score a minimum of 40%. Due weight age however, is given to the cumulative performance of the student throughout the year in deciding promotions.
Report cards will be issued stating the student’s progress after each assessment and parents will be apprised of their child’s progress during the parent- teacher meeting.
The 10th standard students face the Board Examinations.
